1. Define the Process
Identify whether the job requires contour cutting, straight cutting, bending, panel forming, pressing or multiple operations. Describe the complete part sequence so upstream and downstream equipment can be considered.
2. Confirm the Working Range
List the material grade and strength, minimum and maximum thickness, largest workpiece and critical features. For bending, include bend length, flange size, radius and angle; for cutting, include nesting format and edge requirements.
3. Specify the Configuration
Review the controller, axes, tooling, supports, protection and automation with the intended operator workflow. Separate essential requirements from optional upgrades in the quotation.
Press brake configuration guide →4. Validate the Application
Use representative drawings or samples to confirm feasibility, sequence, setup time and handling. Record agreed tolerances and acceptance criteria before finalizing a project.
5. Prepare the Site
Check utilities, floor space, loading access, machine clearances and installation responsibilities. Make sure manuals, training and spare-part information are included in handover planning.
Plan the right configuration
Send the material grade, minimum and maximum thickness, part dimensions, drawings, daily output target, local power supply and delivery destination. Include tooling or automation requirements so the proposal covers the complete process.
