Calculate an Estimate
Method and Limits
Approximate formula: F (kN) = 1.42 × tensile strength (MPa) × thickness² (mm²) × bend length (mm) ÷ [1000 × V opening (mm)].
The estimate is for conventional air bending. It does not cover bottoming, coining, special tooling, unusual material behavior or allowable tool load. Confirm machine capacity, tool ratings, minimum flange and bend radius with an engineer before production.
Plan the right configuration
Send the material grade, minimum and maximum thickness, part dimensions, drawings, daily output target, local power supply and delivery destination. Include tooling or automation requirements so the proposal covers the complete process.
